CujoCop is on Medical Leave!

On November 5, 2011 Chris Velez sustained a line-of-duty injury
while on active duty with the Army Reserves. He is currently
recovering from surgery that was performed on December 8th.
Doctors are seeing good progress in his recovery, but for now,
CujoCop cannot take on any new clients.

However, please feel free to call or email Chris on any concerns
you have with your dog. He is happy to give FREE consultation
that may be beneficial for you and your pooch. Or call and
ask that he contact you once he is ready to return to
work.

Thank you for your patience!

CujoCop is Now Based in Western NY!

CujoCop has moved! We are now located in Cohocton, NY (about 1 hour south of Rochester, NY in the Finger Lakes area...about a 5-hour drive from New York City).

We are officially not serving the NYC/NJ area...however, we occasionally make trips back to Jersey and in rare cases can
help you out if we happen to be in the area. So, please feel free to contact us...you never know.

Officially...we are now serving the areas of Steuben, Ontario, Yates, and Livingston County basing out of Cohocton. And we have changed our services to an extent.

CujoCop has now become a Not-for-Profit Corporation in NY state. We are focusing on providing community training in areas of Emergency Response, CPR/First Aid, personal protection, etc. in addition to training military/police K9 for departments who are underfunded and therapy dogs at cost for patients of autism (and other medical ailments). We are in the process of applying for Tax Exempt status with the IRS and hope to officially become a charitable organization so we may better get funding to help not only our communities, but communites throughout the nation.

Please keep coming back in the future months to visit our new web site with our new business information!

Rolling Memorial Passes Through Bryant

September 9, 2011

Chris Velez was online and found a very unique item...a fire truck that was converted into an RV. The gentleman who spent a long, labor of love in converting this used truck donated it to CujoCop Inc. to be used as a possible command center during a community emergency, as a recruiting aid for youth firefighters, and to help market our not-for-profit business.

Please read the article that was written by a journalist who came across Chris at a gas station on his drive from Dallas, TX to Cohocton, NY.

Army Reserve Specialist Velez Leads
Haz-Mat Team in Training

June 18, 2010

CujoCop is also a Corporal in the U.S. Army Reserves in addition to being an expert dog trainer/handler. Today at Fort McCoy in Sparta, WI, he led and trained a battalion of 100 soldiers in a Haz-mat scenario that will give them the experience they need to save lives in the real world.

His Commanding Officer gave him much kudos as this was the best training the soldiers have received in the 8 years they've performed this exercise. This is Specialist Christopher Velez' first time training a military Haz-Mat team.

CujoCop Meets “The Dog Whisperer”

May 20, 2010

Finally, two great dog trainers have a chance to meet each other as Chris Velez was invited to a party hosted by Swiffer (sponsor of The Dog Whisperer).

Chris and Cesar Millan were able to spend a good deal of time talking privately as they got to know one another and exchange their ideas and stories about dog training.
